Terms of use

Version cgu-2026.2 · effective October 20, 2026

This document explains the rules for using Altitra. It applies to anyone who creates an account or accepts an invitation to join a team.

Provisional version: these texts summarize our commitments and will be replaced by a version reviewed by legal counsel before production.

1. Purpose and acceptance

Altitra is a platform that helps teams of financial services advisors organize their team, their training resources and their client follow-up.

By creating an account or accepting an invitation, you accept these terms. Altitra acts as a service provider: it processes information on behalf of its users and does not use it for its own purposes.

2. Accounts and security

Each account is personal. Your password has at least 12 characters, and a device you do not recognize requires two distinct authentication factors. Never share your password or your codes.

You are responsible for your account’s activity. Report any use you did not authorize right away: you can revoke your trusted devices and close your sessions from the Security page.

3. Content and responsibility

Each organization is responsible for the content it creates, imports or shares: resources, texts, files and links. Altitra does not review this content and is not its author.

You agree to publish only content you have the right to use and that complies with the laws and regulations applicable to your practice, including those of the Autorité des marchés financiers.

4. Resources shared between organizations

A shared resource remains the property of the organization that created it. The receiving organization reads it read-only: it can neither modify it, nor copy it, nor share it again.

The originating organization, the author and a watermark bearing the reader’s name are always displayed. Reproduction is prohibited without the author’s permission. The issuing organization can revoke access at any time.

5. Client information

Altitra performs no financial calculations. It is forbidden to record a social insurance number, a client’s date of birth, medical data, policy numbers or amounts of assets or income.

A safeguard blocks social insurance numbers and warns about other sensitive data. The content of records is never written to the audit log.

6. Encryption of your data

Your client files and notes are encrypted before they are saved; access to the database alone does not allow them to be read.

Encryption protects against reading the database alone. It does not replace access controls: a person who signs in to an account sees what that account is allowed to see, and the application decrypts the data to show it to an authorized person. Protect your password and your devices.

7. Coaching notes

Members of your chain of leaders may keep coaching notes about you. They can only be read by their author, as long as the author is in your chain of leaders, and they are encrypted like your records.

You can ask for access to them from your organization’s privacy officer, who obtains from the author an export of their notes about you.

8. Calendar feed

The calendar feed is optional. At a private address that you can revoke at any time, it publishes your own follow-ups and meetings: by default, the action type, first name and last-name initial; the full name and phone number only if you choose and confirm it. It never contains notes, email or source.

When you add this feed to Google, Apple or Outlook, its content is copied to that provider, outside Quebec, at your initiative: Altitra cannot remove what has already been copied. The feed is revoked automatically if you leave the team, after a password reset or a sign-out of all sessions, and after 90 days without a read.

9. Service continuity

When a member leaves the team or is removed, their active clients are transferred to the designated manager in their lineage, so that client service is not interrupted. Their other records stay in their personal space.

The member is informed and, for 180 days, can view the list of transferred records to carry out a professional handover.

10. Subscription and billing

The organization’s owner is the sole payer. The subscription includes an organization plan (owner included) and one seat per active member at MD level or above; AF/TA and A/A levels are free and unlimited. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus taxes (GST and QST); amounts are shown before you confirm anything.

Every new organization gets a free 14-day trial with no card. Payment and invoices are handled by Stripe: Altitra stores no card number and sends Stripe only the organization’s name, the owner’s name and email, and a seat quantity, never a member’s name.

If a payment fails, access stays complete for 14 days. After that, the organization becomes read-only: nothing can be created or invited, but every member can still export their data and leave the team. A valid payment restores access immediately. After 90 days of suspension, the owner is warned 30 days and then 7 days ahead, and the organization’s deletion is scheduled under the rules of the next section. Cancellation and refund terms will be specified in the final version.

11. Ending use and deletion

You can leave a team or delete your account at any time. An owner must first transfer ownership of their organization.

The owner can request the organization’s deletion: a 30-day grace period applies, during which they can cancel and each member can export their data. After that period, deletion is final.

12. Changes

If these terms change, a new version is shown to you and you must accept it at your next sign-in. The version you accepted, with its date, is kept in the consent register.

13. Contact us
